Who We Are: Swarms Corporation and the Mission to Build Collective Superintelligence

Swarms Corporation is a research and engineering company with a single mission: build Collective Superintelligence. We pursue it along one continuous path, from research into multi-agent systems to deploying those systems into the real economy, where they do real work and produce real value.

This post is a plain statement of who we are, what we build, and why.

The bet we are making

The entire AI industry is organized around one idea: that intelligence scales as a single mind. Make the model bigger, train it longer, and you eventually arrive at one artificial mind smarter than any human.

We think that framing is the wrong unit. The most powerful intelligences ever observed are not individuals, they are collectives. No single person designed the modern economy, discovered the sum of scientific knowledge, or built the internet. Civilizations outperform geniuses on every horizon that matters.

The same will hold for machines. Collective Superintelligence (CSI) is a network of specialized agents that reason, coordinate, and correct one another, with the intelligence living as much in the topology as in any individual agent. We believe CSI will surpass a single monolithic model in both capability and economic value, and that the primitives to build it exist today. What we do: research, then deploy

Our mission breaks into two halves that feed each other.

We research multi-agent systems. The hard problems in CSI are not just about making one agent smarter. They are about orchestration: how agents divide labor, how they coordinate through hierarchies, debates, and pipelines, how they share memory, how they verify one another, and how a network of them stays reliable at scale. This is the research that turns a pile of agents into a coherent intelligence.

We deploy them into the economy. Research that stays in a paper changes nothing. We build the infrastructure that puts multi-agent systems to work on production tasks: analysis, automation, coding, operations, and the long tail of cognitive labor that runs a modern business. Every deployment is a test of the research, and every result feeds the next iteration.

That loop, from research to deployment and back, is the whole company.

What we build

The mission is expressed through a stack of products, each a layer that takes CSI from an idea to something a developer can run today.

• The Swarms framework. The open-source foundation for building multi-agent systems, used by thousands of developers and now past 7,000 GitHub stars. It provides the agents, orchestration topologies, and coordination primitives that CSI is assembled from.
• The Swarms API. A single endpoint at swarms.ai for defining agents, composing them into swarms, and choosing an orchestration architecture, with scheduling, state, and billing handled for you. A department becomes a config file.
• The Swarms Marketplace. A global market at swarms.world where developers discover, publish, and monetize agents, prompts, and tools. This is how the components of CSI get built once and reused everywhere, with creators earning from every sale.
• Swarms Academy. A free learning platform that takes developers from their first authenticated request to a deployed multi-agent system.

Each layer serves the same end. The framework makes CSI buildable, the API makes it runnable, the marketplace makes it an economy, and the Academy brings more builders into it.

Why the economy is the proving ground

We measure progress by real work done, not benchmark scores alone. Corporations are information-processing systems, and nearly every function inside one, from research to sales to operations, can be expressed as a coordinated team of agents. As the cost of cognitive labor falls, the organizations that master orchestration will run continuous swarms in place of rigid hierarchies.

Where we are headed

We started as a research project four years ago and grew into an open-source platform, an API, a marketplace, and an economy forming around all three. The direction from here is consistent with where we began: deeper research into how agents coordinate, and broader deployment of what that research produces.
